Rubena Jane Rider, passed away Thursday, February 23rd at Evans Healthcare in Ft. Myers, FL, where she has been a resident since October of 2011. Rubena is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joseph H. Rider of North Ft. Myers, Florida, her son, Thomas Rider of Cape Coral, Florida, daughter Bonnie Lucia of Helena, NY, 6 granddaughters, and 6 great grandchildren.

Rubena was a longtime resident in her hometown of Massena, NY, where she was originally employed as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. Rubena and Joe moved to Florida in 2003.

A quiet family remembrance will be conducted and in lieu of flowers the family asks that any desire to gift in her memory be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Fort Myers, Fl 33908, in memory of Rubena J.
