A final farewell to our beloved son, brother, and father, Henry G. Salinas Jr. George was an exceptional young man voted by his teachers and staff to represent his school on a trip to the White House. George was a people person who won over friends and foes alike with his simple humor and genuine good heart.

After a brief stint in the Navy, George worked at and owned many small businesses successfully. The same fun, loving, happy nature that helped George succeed ultimately proved to be his downfall. The last years of George's life were a struggle as he tried to come to grips with a mental disorder. Through it all, George never lost his smile or his sense of humor.

His family and friends hope he has finally found peace and happiness in heaven alongside his sister, Linda S. Salinas, who preceded him in death some 20 years ago. Both Linda and George, if given the chance, would love to thank their beloved mother and father, Alton and Teddy Joyce, for the years of support, always there in times of trouble to help them smile, survive, and move on.

George, you will always be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Go now my son, for a place awaits you in the house of the Lord!
